The very large, very showy, all-yellow blossoms of 'King Alfred' have set Trumpet Daffodil standards for a full century. Alas, the true 'King Alfred' has been disappearing from production in Holland, and the bulbs are currently rare and expensive. For some time, other look-alikes have been sold under the King's name. Fortunately, we were able to secure a significant portion of the shrinking crop and have been slowly building up a supply. Our quantities are still limited, so please order early if you'd like to restore this heirloom to your garden. It blooms early in the Daffodil season.
